Sauna Accessories

After purchasing and installing your sauna, you may realise that you need some accessories to go with it. Some of these accessories aren't completely necessary, but they can make using your sauna easier. Some are only needed with traditional saunas, while others are nice to have with any type of sauna.

For those using the traditional saunas that use hot rocks and water, you may want to purchase a large sauna bucket and dipper. These dippers measure out the perfect amount of water so you don't end up with too much or too little steam. They also help prevent accidental spilling, too.

There are also furnishings you can add to your sauna to make it truly comfortable and a place of relaxing. You can purchase towel racks to help organise your sauna. You can also pick up a head or back rest to make the seat more comfortable. You can even get a large head rest that allows you to lean back, close your eyes, and really relax. Of course, if you do this, you may want to invest in a timer of some sort so you don't sleep for several hours!

Incense and other fragrances can also add to your sauna experience. Aromatherapy is a great compliment to heat therapy, and burning incense or scented candles while using the sauna can make for a very nice and romantic atmosphere.

You can also purchase very nice doors for your sauna. While the standard door may do its job, these nice doors make your sauna look like a haven. Some feature frosted glass that lets light in while maintaining your privacy. Others include designs or even etched images that bring a touch of class to your sauna. If you're looking for sauna doors that match your décor, you're sure to find something that fits in with the rest of your home.

You may also want to purchase some large, plush towels or sauna wraps to wear while in the sauna. While you can wear a large towel knotted around your waist whilst in the sauna, you can also purchase a special sauna wrap. These wraps usually fasten with Velcro or with a few buttons on the side, making them more secure than a towel.

After you leave your sauna, you may want to have a large, plush bathrobe to put on. This can be the perfect way to end your sauna experience.
